Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have yoga experience to attend class?

1

Not at all. We welcome all levels and all bodies. Many of our classes are accessible to beginners, and our teachers offer options and modifications throughout class. If you’re unsure where to start, we’re always happy to help guide you.

What should I bring to class?

2

We recommend bringing a mat, a towel, and water. If you need to borrow a mat, we have them available on a donation-based system. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and breathe with ease.

What types of classes do you offer?

3

We offer a variety of class styles, including dynamic energizing flows, slower restorative practices, and everything in between. Our schedule is designed to support different bodies, energy levels, and intentions. We recommend reading the class description prior to signing up.

What is your cancellation policy?

4

For regularly scheduled classes we ask that you cancel your class at least 3 hours in advance to allow space for other students. Late cancellations will result in a $5 fee. No-shows will be charged $10. For workshops and events we charge a $10 late cancellation fee and a $15 no-show fee.

Are phones allowed in the studio?

5

For the sake of presence and community, we ask that phones remain silenced and stored away during class. If for some reason you need to have your phone on you, please inform your instructor ahead of time.

What if I have an injury or health concern?

6

Please let your instructor know before class. While our teachers are happy to offer general modifications, we encourage you to move mindfully and honor your body’s needs.

How early should I arrive?

7

We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early, especially if it’s your first visit. This allows time to check in, settle onto your mat, and connect with your breath before class begins. Doors will not be open until 15 minutes before the start of class.

Where should I park?

8

Street parking is available. We recommend giving yourself enough time to find parking and reading signs carefully to avoid the PPA.

Can I take public transportation?

9

Yes! We are conveniently located two blocks from the Broad Street Line. The studio also lives along two major bus routes (the 2 & the 29).

Do you offer private classes?

10

Yes, we have a variety of offerings that aren’t listed on the regular schedule including corporate yoga classes, special event classes, as well as one-on-one private instruction. For more information on pricing, please fill out the form under the ‘contact’ section of our website.

Are classes heated?

11

Our classes are intentionally unheated. Practicing at a natural room temperature (68°F - 72°F) supports clearer proprioception, safer alignment, and nervous system regulation. Rather than relying on external heat, we focus on mindful movement, intelligent sequencing, and breath to create warmth organically—supporting a practice that is accessible, sustainable, and rooted in longevity.

Is there a contract for your unlimited membership option?

12

No, there is no contract for our unlimited membership option. You can cancel at any time with two weeks notice prior to your next billing cycle. To lock in your rate, we recommend freezing your membership rather than cancelling. Memberships can be frozen for up to a three month period.

How does the waitlist feature work?

13

Class waitlists let clients “stand by” for a spot when a class is already at capacity. When someone cancels, the first person on the waitlist can be moved into the class roster. We have 5 spots on the waitlist per class/event. If you’ve opted in to communications, you will receive an email and/or SMS at the moment you’re added from the waitlist. You will not lose the credit for the class/event if you are not moved from the waitlist.
