Our Story
Founded by Aimee O’Gara in 2024, Liberty Yoga began as a retreat company rooted in a love of yoga, travel, and community. In 2026, Liberty found its home in South Philadelphia, growing into a neighborhood studio built around connection, personal growth, and the belief that yoga is for everyone.
Today, Liberty Yoga welcomes all bodies, identities, and experience levels into a space where strength and softness coexist. Through intentional practice, genuine community, and a commitment to sustainability, we invite you to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and find a little more freedom—on and off the mat.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to yoga. With eight styles of practice, thoughtful modifications, and opportunities to explore new challenges, we strive to make yoga welcoming and accessible to all bodies, backgrounds, and experience levels.

We believe a lasting practice begins with listening to your body. We encourage mindful movement, personal autonomy, and a pace that supports lifelong practice. We extend that same care to our environment by using products that are both safe & sustainable. Our low-waste practices and thoughtfully chosen, non-toxic products, create a space that is mindful of both people and the planet.
Conscious Choices
We believe the care we bring to our practice should extend to the world around us. From the water we drink to the products we use to care for our space, we strive to make thoughtful choices that are kinder to our community and the planet.
Conscious choices, throughout the studio:
Water, reimagined. Our Kangen water system produces 9.5 pH alkaline drinking water for our community and 2.5 pH acidic water for cleaning and mat care, helping us reduce our reliance on single-use plastic bottles and conventional cleaning products.
Thoughtful essentials. We use recyclable paper towels, tissues, and toilet paper to help minimize waste. Our complimentary hair ties are biodegradable, the cups at our water station are compostable, and organic, 100% cotton tampons are available in our restroom.
Less waste, more intention. Refillable cleaning supplies help us reduce disposable packaging and make more conscious use of everyday essentials.
For us, sustainability lives in the little things. Every choice is an opportunity to care for our community, our space, and the planet we share.
